Shinda is extremely bad tempered and ill-humored with a sharp-tongue to match. Her gruff attitude wards away most lions, so she never really makes any friends. She a no-nonsense girl, and can't stand those who act silly in any shape or form. In fact, her face is almost always shaped in some sort of frown.

One day, the leader of her pride orders the females to go find some males and breed them for cubs to bring in some new blood. And so Shinda goes on her way, leaving the borders to find some stupid male just so she can raise some stupid brats that she probably wouldn't care for.

She goes for the first male she meets, a grey lion covered in long mane. Shinda finds him incredibly irritating. He's loud and self-centered, and he tries to impress her with false stories of his 'heroics'. And after the deed is done, she quickly leaves. She certainly did not enjoy the experience. Oh well, at least he was somewhat good looking.

Months rolled by, and on a rather rainy night, eventually she gave birth to a single, scrawny male. Shinda is unimpressed. However, as she spends the first few hours with the babe, she is told by a Pride-sister that he must be killed, as there must be no male who is able to challenge their future King. Shinda is, unsurprisingly, not impressed. She has to spend months with this brat in her belly, only to finally poop it out, be forced to bond with it, and then be told it's all for nothing because it's going to some stupid animal's dinner. Enraged, Shinda takes her cub to the borders, and sits there, unsure what to do. In the short time with him, she actually decided that she liked his tiny paws and cute nose.

And so, knowing that if she returned to her pride he would be killed, she takes the cub back to where she found that annoying male. Thankfully, he's still hanging around the area, and so she dumps him at his feet.

"Here." Shinda says, nudging the baby forward, "This is your son. His name is Dajan. You're going to look after him. And I'm leaving. Right now. So good-bye."

And with that she she goes back home, leaving a rather confused and frustrated Kanai and a hungry Dajan behind her.

Not much to say really LOL Here we can see where Dajan got his serious personality from. At least he isn't a complete grump LOL

And poor Kanai XDD for once he actually has to take responsibility for his actions. He certainly had to pay for his good time, didn't he?
