Kovu..?

Tbh lately I feel as though I haven't been improving much, or even trying to improve at all :/ I feel like I've been staying in the same place for the past year, which isn't what I want.

So! to counter this I've decided to try and work on the usual techniques and styles I use, starting with line art, colouring, shading, etc. And Kovu is my victim!
I've spent a lot more time on them a lot more than I usually would. Especially since I was basically stumbling around testing and trying things out. I decided to try and make my line art a little thinner, and not just say 'screw it!' and throw random shading on there and blur it like I normally do. Tbh Lining, colouring, etc usually takes me about 45 mins, depending on the size or difficulty of the picture (not counting sketching), this took roughly about 2 hours. The longest I've ever taken when it comes to line art, etc. xD

Idk, I definitely like this new technique better xD It's definitely worth taking your time when it comes to drawing c: I've learned that. I've still got a long way to go, but I like this a lot more than when I first started xD Next up, backgrounds! >

As for the actual picture, evil Kovu is evil >:3 Idk, I just preferred him when he was all bad ass and evil xD His transition in TLK2 was far too rushed and brushed over imo :/ I mean, it took him ONE DAY to become good. No, something like that does not happen THAT QUICKLY XD I recall seeing a piece of concept art where Kovu attacks Kiara, and Kiara is all like "WHY?! ;_;" So shoulda' happened >:/ If I find it again I'll be sure to link it here.
